Hi again Gaazy. Another book I would highly recommend is Ellis' British Railways Engineering Encyclopaedia, 3rd edition, 600 pages jam-packed with information much of which other railway books don't mention. Entries are brief and to the point it's more like a massive railway dictionary, thousands of entries that will help in solving the mystery of railway jargon, amongst many other things. Steve.
