I'm a lot better now it is not quite so hot. Track work in hot sun is not be recommended.
I now have four sleepers in my garden creating a level area. A little bit of the EVR to remind me of all the hard work and good company! Best wishes, John H-T.

I've worked on one railway where the vegetation half covered the track along its length which meant the rail one side was a lot cooler than the rail on the other - sleepers would creep and twist all over the place. Maybe the bushes and trees have grown enough by now to cover both sides and provide a bit of shade for p'way people??

We have some shade but the Vegitation Clearance Team (VCT) have been hard at work clearing sight lines and making sure that our passengers will have a good view of the beautiful Ecclesbourne Valley!
Best wishes, John H-T.

Yes, need to have plenty of water!. This Wednesday we will probably be working in the rain! May not have any sleepers left as they changed 71 over the weekend! Plenty of other things to do! Best wishes, John H-T.
