Connecting the US West coast - California high-speed rail

Another improvement in railway transport. Plans for a high-speed rail system for California have been mooted as far back as 1981. Serious planning began in the 1990s as a growing population saw an increase in the use of local transportation and route plans for California high-speed rail total 800 miles, with up to 24 stations.
