Why dont they fit HI-Res video cameras in the cabs to view the line ahead, to capture the idiots. This way they will know who they are after.

I'm not sure that would be the answer. Most trespassers cover their faces when trains drive past. One fella that I saw today was holding his nose, but another lunatic who was stood between Swinton West Yorks and the old Wath Junction on the S&K line was jumping up and down smiling and waving at me. He also looked like he had coils of electric cable wrapped around his body. Very strange.

On a YouTube video I saw some months back, vandals were filming each other hiding in the shrubs and then as any train passed by slowly, they dived out and sprayed them with grafitti. All of them made sure they were 'Hooded' and so not seen on camera as such. I don't honestly know if they were ever caught.

The Bramley Line have 5 coaches stabled close to March east signalbox, but even these have been vandalised with some broken windows and grafitti, yet never seen doing it.

As for the plonker seen with what appeared to be cable wrapped around his body, what a pity he never though to try plugging it in? Evil thought I know, but it might teach a few more not to do it.
