Mull rail.
Mull rail has sadly now closed. Torosay castle is under new ownership and this is the reason.
Passenger numbers were healthy and the railway is essential for bringing in visitors. The good news is that the track, locos and stock will be put to use elsewhere.

Latest News
The railway at Mull was open over the Easter holidays. It has been run regularly to keep things working and passengers turned up. An honesty box raised more than fares would have.
So the final year will see trains at Whit bank holiday, in July & August and the August bank holiday. See their website for more information. The future looks a bit brighter as a possible new site has been found on the mainland of Scotland and a move is planned. Mike www.rlsr.org |

So sad to hear one of our heritage railways closing, as elsewhere others are expanding with lots gaining in turnover and growing with investment. Still if the equipment and stock move elsewhere I guess not all is lost!
