GWR Iron Mink conversions

Hi guys,

I have some of the N Gauge Society Iron Mink kits and I'd like to do a couple of conversions.

I have found drawings for an iron cattle van and a Pooley iron tool van and I'd like to make these two wagons.

Try as I might I can't find any photos of these wagons that show the markings they carried. Would anyone have any photos that I could use for reference to the markings?

Regards,

Alex

Hi

I have a copy of the HMRS book entitled GWR Iron Minks. At the back there is a small section on " other iron bodied vans for traffic purposes ". There is a picture of the cattle wagon you talk about. It says it was the only one being built in March 1888 and is numbered 38101. It was condemned in March 1935. I hope this is of help.

Alan Barnes.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the info. Any chance of a scan of the photo?

Alex
