Hello from Surrey
I'm a brand new, but a bit old and worm member. Been interested in railways in spurts for fifty plus years going back, possibly to a couple of O gauge Basset Lowke engines that my father bought me in the 50's. I still acquire the odd model new in oo, N and oo3 but since disposing of a TT one in the early 1960's have never had a layout.
As well as railways I've got a general interest in anything mechanical whether old or new together with a lifelong passion for still photography which seems to fit in very well. I have, luckily a wife who loves the smell, sound and look of a steam engine and doesn't mind the odd early morning jaunt to photograph one. |

Welcome to the fun from another Velocette rider,
I had a Valiant for 20 miles, bought it on the Saturday and Valentine's Day 1959 (Sunday) ended up in Epping Hospital at 11 AM. Fun and games from a mis-spent youth but it was a nice little bike while I had it (20 hours). John (G) |

Hello Velocette from a Matchless 500 fan. I know what you mean when you say "a bit old and worn". Anyway welcome to the forum where age does not matter.

Welcome to the forum Velocette. The only motorbike I ever rode was a girder fork B S A 500, this was in 1956 when doing my national service.
