New Scrap Metal Flow
Last week saw the first train serving Able UK's Teesside Environmental Reclamation & Recycling Centre (TERRC) Graythorp, Hartlepool.
The first train of 26 SSA's was top and tailed 66114 and 66113 arrived just after 0600hrs working 6G88 0525 Tees Yard- Seaton Able UK. After being loaded with scrap metal which has come from ships and oil rigs being scrapped at TERRC. The train will work 6G89 1930 Seaton Able UK- Lackenby. The first train. http://www.flickr.com/photos/31848041@N08/5015328234/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/31848041@N08/5014562705/ Scrap being loaded. http://www.flickr.com/photos/31848041@N08/5014562699/ There will be a lot of traffic serving the site due to the high volumes of work. In the planning permission for the yard, they have permission to build railway sidings. So I would think they are to be built as the refurbishment of the yard progress. |

Harold.
Many thanks for the information. Please would you upload some of your photos to this Forum's Gallery rather than just give links to your own site. It's the way we do it here! Best wishes, John H-T.
