Northgate station
I don't know if anyone can help me out there, but I am researching Northgate station (Chester) for a project. I know it was built 1837 and continuely used until 1960's. the photos I have come from the latter period, but I would like to know a little more about its history and development, and if there are any photos out there that show the railway station during the earlier years, even if they are drawn images. Cheers

Hello Nick_1,
I used to lodge across the border from Chester and in both Broughton and Saltney, and so since purchased a Video on this Wonderful City, but regret to say I can't recall anything about the railway even being on it. Could the Chester library be of any help to you?

Hi Nick,
I believe that 1837 is a bit early. I have at least two books that give 1874 as the opening date for Chester Northgate station.
