Hello VINTAGE BRB tickets, curious
Hi
I have come across some old British Railway Board tickets that belonged to my late uncle. They are still wrapped in packets and two remain unopened. The two packs that are opened contain a full set of unused tickets from Oxford to Pool fare 59/6 & Hull Paragon Fare 110/0. I am guessing there are 100 in each packet. I am curious to know more about them and why he would have so many unused tickets. Can anyone enlighten me? Many thanks Mel |

Welcome to the forum Mel. I have no idea how or why he might have had the tickets. The only possible reasons that I can think of is that obtained them when they became obsolete on BR (ie. upon decimalisation in 1971) or that they are actually faulty batches with some incorrect details on them.
Regards, Tony |
