Laser scanning Ffestiniog Railway locos

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me drawing your attention to a project I'm helping out with. We're producing accurate scale models, in a wide range of scales, of a series of narrow gauge prototypes. Our latest project is to laser scan and 3D print models of the four surviving George England locos on the Ffestiniog Railway. You can find out more and help support the project at:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...glands-from-la

There are lots of fabulous gifts, including models, available for those who support the project.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum. Interesting project. I have seen something very similar with aerospace blades that are printed with a metal powder and fused. Very complex shapes can be accurately reproduced!
All good stuff
All the best
Phil
