A-Train
Anyone remember this venerable old timer? More of a town planning simulator, but it all revolved around the rail network that you built.

I recently repurchased this wonderful game again after missing it for many years, from Ebay. I originaly had it for my trusty Spectrum 128+2a and loved it to bits, so when I saw it on Ebay for the PC I snapped it up quick, but unfortunatly I dont seem to be able to get it to work ( not an Xp compatible game ) so i will had to stick it on the shelf and just stare at it and remember the good old times. LOL

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who remembers the joys of A-Train... I used to play it on the Amiga. I'll have to check out the latest offerings in the railway sims for the pc, I'd like to think things have progressed (from about 6mhz, 512k ram and 20mb hard drive

I remember playing A-Train on the Amiga. I enjoyed it so much that I got the port for the PSOne which was called "AIV Evolution Global". I also have A-Train6 for the PS2 but I agree with MrMallard, Raliroad Tycoon does it for me every time.

Hi Billyboy,
I also use MSTS and use London/Brighton a lot. The MSTS add on's that I have are:- Berlin Stettin Route. Black Forest Route. Brighton - Portsmouth. Cambrian Route. Engine Shed. Fires & Wires. Great British Diesel Locomotives. Great British Steam Locomotives. High Speed Trains. Japanese Routes. LNER Pacific's. London - Brighton Express. London - Brighton Add Pack. Maglev 2005 - Casino Express. Nene Valley Railway. Pro Train Austrian Experience. Pro train Stuttgart - Munich. Scenic Railway. Severn Valley Railway. Southern Region Working - Basingstoke. West Somerset Railway, and of course Train Simulator. I also have some downloads from Scotland & Australia, and Trainz Simulator2004. I have fun putting trains on different lines and testing them against each other. The London - Brighton line is great for the tests, but the loads must all be the same. Syd |
