Great Orme Tramway - oops!!

Thought this was the most relevant section.
The tramway this afternoon - accident happened about 11am this morning - just happened to be visiting Llandudno and the Great Orme.
All wheels and bogies appear to be railed; but not necessarily in the correct place!! Lucky no one injured.

Great photos. Thanks for posting. I have just been reading about this on the BBC news site and your shots illustrate the incident much better than they did It looks like there has been a points failure. I think a similar thing happened in 2000.

I like that tramway.
However I am not sure about these things that cause accidents.
The great orme tram line seems prone to little mishaps.

Yes, brilliant photos of a very unfortunate incident. One of my favourite rides and doesn't always get the coverage it deserves but I guess they could do without this sort of publicity though.
