freight movements through preston
I just wondered if any one knew what the freight movements through preston station were, with living in blackpool we don't get any freight ! i moved from manchester where i could photograph heavy freight everyday so any info would be good

You're right - the 2010 freight timetable IS the most up-to-date one on the site.

Thanks for the info gents, will be takin a trip in the near future would like to see the log train..does anyone know if the police have any problems with you takin photo's on the station

I've never encountered any problems at Preston Station from any sort of official.
Just a point regarding the log trains. I was under the impression that they go south over the S & C and join the WCML at Farrington junction. I might be wrong on this one so don't take it as gospel
