Amberley Footplate Experience.
Spent a day at Amberley driving "Peter", their Bagnall 0-4-0 saddle tank. What fun that was! If you want to have a great day driving steam, then this is right up there with the best. Much more action due to there being only 2 of you on the day and as it's narrow gauge, tighter turns and inclines give you a real "white knuckle ride" sensation. Fabulous and highly recommended. Well priced too! The instructors, John and Rod are top blokes with a great sense of humour.
The water bucket test was a riot!

I am pleased that you had a great time. This coming Saturday 12th May I will be at the Lavender line doing something similar.
