This is very sad. One of the great pleasures of train travel - and what set it apart from other means of travel - was being able to have a nicely served and freshly cooked meal in the Restaurant Car whilst being able to view the passing scenery. I can well recall several journeys to and from Paddington and Worcester where the real treat was the breakfast, tea or dinner.

It seems the restrictions now being imposed are just a prelude to its complete demise and we shall just have to content ourselves with the plastic packed garbage from the buffet (sorry, on board shop).
