Glasgow 'axed' from train route (BBC News)

Trains on the East Coast Main Line would no longer go to Glasgow and instead terminate at Edinburgh, under new plans.

More from BBC News...

From Doncaster, Leeds, York and Newcastle it will probably be quicker by car to Glasgow. This DoT is determined to wreck the railways. The first "nail in the coffin" was the destruction of West Coast Cross Country services. It will soon be impossible to travel more than 300 miles without changing trains.
