HS2 - Poisoning the Chilterns now?

As a former resident of Chalfont St Peter, I was intrigued by this headline...

"HS2 loses large amount of potentially highly polluting bentonite"

It seems that contractors have allowed 1600 m2 of potentially poisonous slurry to leak away.

Bad timing since the future of the project is in question.
