A4 90 mph runs postponed again!

According to Railway Herald and another forum, the Tyne Tees and Capital Streak 90 mph runs this weekend have been postponed again. Steam ban (light steam only, ie box powered) and overhead line probs on ECML have resulted in last minute postponement, sad!

I was looking forward to seeing Bittern come back into London with the high speed run, but suppose now by the time it is rescheduled it will come back in the dark. This summer has been a let down as far as steam haulage this way.

I seem to recall that timings for the original run were earlier in the day so maybe the new schedule, if it happens, might be earlier again. Let's hope so as Stoke Bank in the dark loses interest!
