All things steam is my first love and the Deltics come second, however they do bring back great memories of days on the ECML back in the early 60's when the cross over from steam to diesel had begun!
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this event but would like to wish all who do a good one and any photos taken would be most welcome in the gallery. Regards Phil

Excellent event on the ELR - All five deltics ran on sunday + EE Type 4 D335 running a shuttle when I was there.
All five pulled the 6 coach beerex on saturday night breaking a record of being the train with the most pulling power. Alas I missed this run ... and i believe it ran out of cask beer aswell ! My pictures her of the event - http://www.steamingnorth.com/thumbnails.php?album=134 John
