unusual shunter at Clapham Junction?

Can anyone please help with a query my cousin has raised with me?

On his daily commute via Clapham Junction he has seen what appears to be a Class 08/09 shunter on track 7 in one of the sheds. It is near Platform 7 but not quite visible from there! What is unusual is that this shunter appears to have a totally yellow (not yellow/black striped) cab end and it has a headcode display. I have never heard of these classes of shunter having a headcode display.

Is there something special about this shunter or does it in fact belong to another Class?

Could it be a class 20? I know they are quite different to the 08/09, but from end on (cab end) they could look quite similar and there are definitely some still in existence with full yellow ends & headcode display box (including 20142 & 20189). I could be wrong!

Many thanks for this reply. It now turns out that this is indeed likely to be the explanation.
