Derailment at Brighton

A Southern class 377 derailed as it left Lovers Walk Depot at Brighton today:

Further disruption was also caused on Southern between Brighton and Hastings by signal failure between Eastbourne & Cooden Beach. Not a good day to be on Southern on the South coast!

Hmm, Lovers Walk. Lots of trap points there protecting exit from the sidings onto the running lines.

I know people don't like speculation, but just looking at the history - last time this happened here it was Thameslink train which ended up with 2 'in the dirt' because it ****ed a ground position light..

There - I didn't say it
