Are there class 37s still on the UK rail network today?

I used to love watching the 37s as a kid growing up on the North Wales coastline. I live in London now but haven't seen any of these locos for years on my travels as an adult. Does anyone know if any rail operators in the UK are still regularly running 37s for freight or passenger traffic? Where can I see them? I really miss the distinctive sound and sight of these locos.
Any help appreciated

Hi Bob, I know that DRS runs about ten or twelve class 37's and they are all very busy. I am not sure of all of there runnings but i do know that alot of the test trains out of the Derby research centre have a pair of 37's top and tail each end of the yellow coaching stock. When i worked in derby, even if i couldn't see the tracks i knew when a pair were departing by the sound, absolutely excellent clatter as they went by, you would love it mate. I will try and find out about the other DRS class 37 runs, i think but cannot confirm they were being used at sellerfield to take away the nuclear waste casks, but am not so sure now. I will check and come back to ya, cheers, Tim

Sadly, I saw 2 at Kings Lynn on the 4th of this month and working a Network Rail Test Train. Sorry, but I got Fed-up with seeing them on trains between Kings Lynn and London Liverpool Street years ago, as if they were the Only diesels available.

There was a maroon West Coast 37 shunting around at Kings Cross station yesterday, having hauled the ECS for the Cathedrals Express to York.

The Class 37, with DBS selling their remaining 37/4's to DRS for further use, the trusty Old Locomotives are still rolling on..a truly great British Locomotive design
Not forgetting the Four in use with Network Rail (painted Yellow, can't miss them) and several with West Coast Railways (WCR) in Maroon, long may they continue in service!

As ACE mentioned, NR has renumbered 4 class 37s as 97/3s and painted them banana yellow for use as ERTMS test vehicles on the Cambrian line.

The conversions were done by HNRS at Barrow Hill so we saw them before and after they did a nice job of painting some were real messes before

Shows them when they were due out for their first test runs
