Call to action! Help us to preserve the historical narrow gauge railway!
Hi! I am the member of international team (Poland, Czech, Germany and United Kingdom) of railway herritage enthusiasts. We speak different languages, live hundreds kilometers from each other but we have one thing in common - respect and devotion to the railway herritage.
Currently we take action that aims in preserving the historical narrow gauge railway in Poland - the Kujawy Narrow Gauge Railway. It is the longest still existing narrow gauge railway network in Poland, constructed before the 1st World War (yes, it is more than 100 years old!). It has been neglected for years and is left at the mercy of scrap thieves and rust. Due to the inefficiency and abandonment by the local politicians the railway has been sentenced to neglect. We are not going to let the world's cultural heritage to be wasted! That is why me and a group of friends from Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and United Kingdom – ancient railway, history and heritage enthusiasts, as citizens, demand the politicians and officials to take action in order to preserve this narrow gauge railway! Please join us in our efforts! IT'S EASY TO HELP! You can help us to preserve the narrow gauge railway with a little effort. All you need to do is to just send a letter to the Chief Executive of the Lodz provincial government. Information and addresses to send them to are available on our website: http://www.kkw.sos.pl/en/its-easy-to-help/ (here you will also find more information on our action and about ourselves). Don't forget to JOIN US ON FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/sos.kkw Many thanks in advance for your help! In case of any questions please feel free to contact me. |
