Need help from anyone that knows about track building equipment

Hi,

I've joined the forum as I need help from anyone that knows about about railway track building/equipment.

Reason I'm asking is for Christmas present (yes I'm starting early haha) for a good friend I am having a model railway scene built. He has been working as a rail track worker for over a decade and lovse anything to do with the rail and building the rail so I'm going to make the scene of a railway track being built.

I have found a website that sells models of track building machines but I have no clue as to what he would be used to (he works in Western Australia) the link is here:

If anyone is able to go on the website and tell me what I might need in the maintenance equipment section would be very much appreciated. Or if anyone knows of where I could get models of track building machines it would be a great help

Thanks

Hi I don't but I know a man who does. If you check Tonbridge West Yard on Google to see if there is a link to the layout.

If not I will ask Paul Wade the owner of the layout for some advice for you
