DB class 37670........

Does anyone no if this Db 37670 has been saved from the scrap man

Hi Saxokid, I was on Toton hill on wednesday last week and i bumped into a chap that had been at Kingsbury scrap yard earlier in the day and the two numbers he showed me in line for being cut up were 08666 and 37670. So i think not i am affraid. Its a pity cos i remember seeing it come out of the paintshop at Toton with 37419, both in dbs red ready to do an upcoming railtour and they looked brilliant mate. I think 37419 is now in drs blue and has been hanging around Derby rtc centre.

Noticed on WNXX that they have 37 419 in two different locations and pools so ????

one says
it's still in DB Red and Stored at Toton Compound WNSO pool

the other says

It's Withdrawn and Stored at Barrow Hill in XHHP pool

So ..............I will investigate

OK info from one in the know (Genius terminal )

37 419 is in DRS at Barrow Hill
37 670 is at KMR BUT has been bought by HNRS

Hi Gray, I didn't know that someone had bought it and hence it will survive to growl another day, great info mate and my appologies saxokid.. Its always nice when one is saved but do we think it will just be a source of spares for the other harry needle stock?

That is the £6000000 question AFAIK it's still on a low-loader at KMR got no more info about it present if I do get any will pass it on

OK been to Barrow Hill today and tried my hardest but no chance of a photo as they have hidden 419

So around the HNRS shed are

37197 DRS Unbranded
37412 Transrail being worked on
37419 DRS Unbranded
37425 DRS Unbranded
37503 EWS on Storage (?? HNRS or DRS)
37521 EWS being rubbed down and is plugged in to power (is DRS now)

There has been a big swop around since my last visit so lots of stuff missing

Lucky old 37521, being rubbed down, ha ha. Great info gray. Do you remember if 37608 was in barrow hill recently for repairs, reason i ask is it was one of a pair (37610 and 37608) that headed the last highlander spitfire railtour i went on in 2010.

608 no records that I've got PM me if you want to know where it is if I can find it

BTW been told two stories re 412
1/ is it's being done up
2/ is it's being stripped
