Plans to rename railway station (BBC News)
A plan is put forward to rename a railway station in East Sussex to stop confusion among passengers.

If Ore station is not in Ore, where is it? Would it not make sense to rename it to it's location? Failing that, it could always be renamed "Nelson Mandela/ Barack Obama Central".

Wonder if someone will want to rename Ware,
Where is Ware Station some may ask. In Ware of course. Anyone got an idea as to why it is or was last time I visited double track each side but single track through the station? John (G) |

On the Meldon line there is an old LSWR station called BOW coming back from Meldon we used to call it WOB.

Why not 'Ore Road'? In the New Forest, Beaulieu is served by Beaulieu Road, as it's more than a couple of miles away from Beaulieu itself. Or leave it vague, and just call it Ore What? Ore/Deal?
Ore's Local might give the wrong impression... |
