Merseytravel Saveaway Tickets

As most of you in the Merseyside area will be aware of the huge increase in the Price of the Local / Area A,B,C & D Saveaway tickets from £2.10 to £3.20 an increase of 80p just this Morning i was talking to a contact on the railway and they have had memos to say that these tickets can now be used between 4pm & 6pm therefore now being able to be used in the evening peak period.

I was wondering if this is just on the railway or does it apply on the buses as well and if so will all Bus Drivers & Rail Guards/Conductors etc know about it or is there going to be a big uproar between passengers & Bus Drivers & Rail Staff causing abit of anti social behaviour as they call it. ?

Also The all zone Saveaway £4.30 Ticket has been extended to Chester and E-Port by rail only for those of you that didn't know.

"Please accept my appologies if i have posted this in the wrong thread as i wasent shure were to put it"

Thanks for that info John.
Although I often go into the Merseytravel area I have no idea what tickets are available. With a bit of forward planning I could probably make use of the Saveaway tickets.

I travelled on the Helsby-Lime Street service the other day and that was a 142. It was great without all the schoolkids on it

Yes i was on the 15.56 from Earlestown yesterday which its that one from Helsby and yet i wondered why it was quiet but was made up it was a 142 which was 142 005 which is a strange one because it has had all of it's seat tops painted lilac and refurbished the same as all the others but not the centre ends painted still in Good OLd BR Orrange.
