Publicity for parliamentary train
Do Northern print details of the once a week Stockport to Stalybridge train in any of their timetables?

If they do, I hope that they make it clear that a return ticket isn't an option!

I can't see it mentioned in any of their online timetables or in the National Rail timetables although the route is still indicated on Northern's network map.

You can actually buy a return ticket (making a rteurn via Manchester). The cost of a single between Stockport and Stalybridge on the parliamentary train is the same price as one for a journey changing at Manchester Piccadilly. |

It still runs, usually on a Saturday morning, although some weeks in reverse on a Friday afternoon. I know they put the Chester to Runcorn one in the Manchester to Liverpool via Earlestown timetable

I can't see any mention of the Chester-Runcorn train in the timetable that you mention but it is in Table 81. "North Wales and Chester ---> Manchester and Crewe"

I looked in the National Rail version of this timetable as opposed to Northern Rail's embroidered version. Having this train tucked away in a none-related timetable is yet another example of how disjointed our privatised railways are.
