USA railways interest.
any one interested in american railways? been over there a few times since retiring and am really interested in us railways old and new, went with ptg to their mid west tour last year, minneapolis, Iowa, Wisconsin, minnesota and illinois, superb trip. off tomorrow to New England in the fall tour (great train journeys) not an enthusiasts tour, more family with railway interest. anyone else bitten?

Hi Norman, There are so many web sites for American rail fans it is unbelievable. I never realised that spotting is more popular in the States than it is here. They seem to have lineside cameras in nearly every large city and places such as Barstow in California, they are fascinating to watch. One or two have running commentries as well but I think it depends on time of day.

Hello there. Yes I have been 'bitten' as you put it.
I find the different building and operating techniques fascinating. Some quite interesting steam locos over there.
