Exclamation Gday mates!

Hi Everyone, I just posted an introduction on the BR Footplateman's group so apologies for this if you've already read it.
I was a fireman based at Southall MPD (81C) back in the early 60s, leaving just before steam was phased out. I determined to search for a Forum like this one following a recent very nostalgic "steam special" trip from Victoria to Canterbury behind a beautiful Stanier Black 5. I was invited to check out the footplate and thus entered into a 47 year old timewarp!
Hoping to read and share some wonderful experiences with you all.
(And BTW I'm also a very active amateur radio DX operator and judging from some of the member-names on this forum I'm not alone!)
Best Regards, Dave
