Smile Hi from USA - seeking info on Arnold Co.

Hi everyone

I found your forum in my search for the K Arnold Gmbh & Co. who
became famous for producing the N Scale Equipment.

I recently acquired a Toy Circus dressage horse made by K Arnold Gmbh & Co,
and was hoping someone here might be familiar with this company and could
offer guidance or even just point me in the right direction to find background
history.
Any feedback would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks!
Sharon Wolfe

What I've learned so far:
  • K Arnold Gmbh & Co. was founded in 1906 by Karl Arnold when he
began producing tin toys at his factory in Nuremberg
  • 1960 they focused only on producing European locomotives
[becoming famous for the N scale Equipment ]
  • Arnold merged with Rivarossi
  • 2004, Hornby acquired Rivarossi

Hello Sharon and welcome to the forum.
I have quite a bit of their N-gauge equipment but I know very little about Arnold's history.
Have you tried writing to one of the contacts here:
