High speed brake van

While i was sitting on Horsted Keynes station one sunny April day this year I was watching the electro diesel (shock horror ) on the spoil train.

I noticed the brake van was longer than normal and on two bogies. I was told it was a special high speed unit and not many were made.

Does anyone here know any more about it ?
