Memories 1954-1957

Hola,We are trying to fill in Memory details,will you please help?
1. What was the route of the train from Mansfield to Matlock?
2.Were ther any incidents on this train about youths with airguns?
3. Were there Excursions from Mansfield to Skegness and what was the route?

Mansfield to Matlock would be the same as now - Mansfield Midland, Nottingham Midland and Derby Midland.

In earlier times you just might have been able to change at Ambergate going through Shirebrook and Chesterfield (Walking between stations at both) or through Pye Bridge, but the trains would have been infrequent and connections awkward.
