Help, Possible trainspot mistake
Hi as i'm sure you can gather from the title i think i have made a mistake in one of my trainspots and it's driving me crazy!! I had just finished at my particular spot and as i walked away a train came so i quickly jotted down the number and off i went. The number i wrote down was 67133 although i thought all the 67 class were EWS however i swear this was a south west train. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me whether i've just writen down a wrong number or that this is actualy write.
Thanks! (p.s. As you can probaly guess i am very new to the hobby, i origanaly collected the n-gauge models which got me in to the hobby.) Last edited by Matt446574; 30th March 2009 at 20:36. |

67133 doesn't exist so it has to be a mistaken number. 66133 as far as I'm aware is in EWS livery, but there is a possibility it could have been 66713 which is in dark blue GBRf colours. I personally would treat it as a missed 'spot' and not lose any sleep over it ! |

There were only 30 Class 67's built, numbered from 67001 to 67030. I think they are all still in running order apart from the one that was involved in the crash in the South West a few years ago (67004?), so unless one of them has been renumbered to work for a different company, it must be the equivalent of a typo. Was it perhaps 66133?

If it was in SWT livery, it wont be a 66 or a 67 I guess...could it have been a Unit or was it def a loco? (is there a class 467 for instance?

Just for your info Dynamo, 67004 is back in traffic and has been for some time now. Its mainly on the Waverly-Fort Bill sleepers but can on occasions venture to Aberdeen and Inverness. Les |

Thanks everyone for the welcome! I think it may have been a unit or something but as John Hunt said i will treat this as a missed spot. There seems to be a definate link between everyones replies so i think it's a lost cause. However i now would like to see a "real" class 67 just for future reference. Does anyone know whether or not they run in the south, I think most of them are up north but if anyone knows of any in the south i would be good.
Thanks again for the welcoming!! |
