Hello everybody
Hi,my name is Alan. I live near the East Coast main line just north of Huntingdon in England. I have a motorhome and drive around the country and the Continent visiting railways - service and preserved lines. I'd like to make friends with similar interests to me and invite them to e-mail me. My main interest is steam locomotives and in 2014 I visited a steam loco shed in Germany, travelled by main line steam train in France and visited two French preserved railways. I also spent a lot of time riding trams in Northern Italy. My plans this year include a long trip around Scotland. I look forward to hearing from someone.

Hello Halothewynd (Alan) and welcome to the Railway Forum. Most of my rail travel has been around southern Africa. I was on the foot plate in Rhodesia.
