Cheers Eurostar, what do You think will become of the terminal at Waterloo. Will it be demolished or could the platforms be used by conventional trains in future. Would the track have be removed or can normal train traffic use it?

I was in London a few weeks ago and went to Waterloo to see the Terence Cuneo statue, which I thought was brilliant. The ex-Eurostar terminal looks a bit shabby to say the least. I hope they do something useful with it because it looks as though it will be a bit of an eyesore in no time at all.

You might be able to tell I dislike many of the newer buildings around these days (see the st. pancras thread). There is direct access to the mainline (I don't know where) because the EPS 37's could regularly be found at Clapham Junction with translator vehicles. never saw a 73 there though!!

Personally I think the decision not to run Eurostar services north of London is another victory for terrorism.
