New Bachman 04

I went to the Soar Valley Model Railway Club Exhibition in Loughborough today, and on the Club's own layout was a early sample of the forthcoming Bachmann class 04 2-8-0. Unpainted, but running, looking good, at first I thought it was a Kit built loco. The guys on the layout were very pleased with the running qualities of it and were singing it's praises to all and sundry.
Checked the Bachmann website later. Expect to pay about £125 for one.

Quality costs. If it was made in the UK it would probably cost about £250!

Bachmann prices compare favourably with Hornby's.

Best wishes,

John H-T.
