Question A Jinty and a Pug

I'm considering buying a new locomotive for my layout. Does anyone have any information about the detail/reliability of the Bachmann Jinty (not the one with the DCC)? Also, does anyone know of a company that produces OO gauge Pugs in BR black, early crest, unweathered?

I am very pleased with my Bachmann Jinty. The detail is streets ahead of the Hornby version. It runs well and so far I have had no problems.

I am sure Horby will have done a L&Y pug in early BR livery (unweathered) at some stage, just a case of searching around. That said I have a weathered version and the weathering is not very heavy.

Hope this helps.
