Many thanks for the warm welcomes!.
The reason I am after old photo's of Saundersfoot Station and sidings, is that my wife and I have recently purchased the former sidings, known as the Station Yard, which include a section of the tunnel that runs beneath the land, as shown on the aditnow website. Unfortunately it's no longer possible to walk the tunnel as the Wildlife Trust have installed "bat gates" at each end to prevent access. We are looking for old pictures and artifacts for an eventual permanent display, and to assist in restoring the main features such as the loading bank and the turn plate. So far we've found plenty of pictures of the older narrow gauge engine and stock that ran to, and under the yard (the "Bulldog" - known as the "Miners Express"), but none of the station yard apart from one small corner. |
