Cool Deltic Day Out "Alycidon" d9009 18-6-2016

heres letting you Deltic fanatics\lovers that Alycidon will be out and about on saturday 18 june 2016 starting @ derby, calling @ duffield, belper, chesterfield, dronfield, sheffield, doncaster, york & newcastle finishing in edinburgh. it will be called the deltic borderer 2.....

special notice - from derby to york it will be hauled by a schenker class 57, then york to edinburgh using alycidon, and the same in reverse, dont know if the two diesels will be double-headed of if alycidon will be waiting @ york...
would be nice if it pass's through selby as they did along time ago...

adult prices standard 98£... first class 129£... first class plus 145£... premier dinning 229£.... these fares are from all the above stations...

anyone boarding @ derby the train leaves @ 06.00 and returns @ 23.45 all times are shown on the pathfinder tours website...

I should know this, but at a guess, was it the prototype for the original sales tour.
Either that or the Baby Deltic for mainline operating.
Apologies if I'm wrong, I should know this.

I think it was D9016 'Gordon Highlander' that was given a purple livery when it was used by Porterbrook Leasing. It looked hideous!

Agree with the look, but there's a nice photo of 9016 in Porterbrook purple livery in this months Deltic Deadline and, dare I say, it doesn't look that bad.
