I had a great return journey today. I was ona local trip down to Stockport, one of the reasons being that I wanted to see what was in place for egnineering works between Stockport and Sheffield (only 3 weeks away now ). Anyway, because of the works Central Trains services are starting at Stockport making use of platform 3A. I decided to board one in the station around 15 minutes early, so I was the only one on the train whh was fun. But, at 12:20 (departure 12:26) I walked down the train and was still the only one. A few minutes later the condictor maid the announcement "this is the train to....", and Im thinking Im the only one of the train your announcing it to (the guard had previously seen me onboard, also have to say how nice he was).

Then the train departed with me as the only passenger in the coach. I would have had a laugh if I had the entire train to myself, I went into the other coach (2 car 170) and there were 2 passengers in there. But still, not bad considering these train are usually packed.
