Headlamp
Hi everyone, I live in South Africa and am very new to this game. I need some advice please. On auction shortly is a Brass and Metal Tonum size 14 Steam Locomotive Headlamp by J Stone & Co. It is in very good condition - very heavy. Can anyone give me an estimate on what this item would be worth, there do not seem to be many about. Think I have added 2 pictures.

Hello mickafrica and welcome to the Railway Forum. Can't help with your question, but I think some of the South African sites may be of help to you. 27vet, a member on this forum has far more up to date on railway clubs in S.A. than I do.

Hi many thanks for the welcome. To be honest, I am an absolute greeny, but learning fast. My husband and I buy things on auctions and re-sell as a hobby. Just lately we have come across a number of Railway related items which I have sold with long teeth. I have now bought the headlamp as described in my earlier note - it is truly a lovely item and think I will have to hang onto it for awhile......in my search for info on this light I have read up so much that I am hooked.
