Overhead wire tension

Hey chaps

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why the overhead wires on the WCML seem to be so slack?

You always know a train is coming because they are flapping all over the place, then similar when the train has passed.

Of course i am just an amateur, but should they really be so slack? Everything over here, even regional lines have pretty tight overhead lines and you never see the flex like you do at say, Rugby

cheers
