Tenterden Christmas Market 2018
Tenterden Christmas Market takes place on Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th November 2018 and the Kent & East Sussex Railway will be providing 'Park & Ride' shuttle trains from Rolvenden-Tenterden Town. Parking at Rolvenden is at Rother Valley Timber, adjacent to Rolvenden K&ESR station.
There are no further details at present - I will try to update this thread as more details emerge - but it is worth noting that last year's trains were charged by donation, and I believe they only ran on the Friday and Saturday of the event. Watch this space!  Tony

Thank goodness they've learned from the experience of a few years back, when Tenterden's Christmas Market coincided with K&ESR's first Santa Special weekend. Talk about chaos...

More details now available for the Rolvenden-Tenterden shuttles - nothing running on the Friday, but Saturday is every 30 minutes from Rolvenden from 9.30 - last train returning from Tenterden at 20.15; Sunday is every 30 minutes from Rolvenden from 9.30 - the last train returning from Tenterden at 16.15 as per the MyTenterden website below:

A stunning High Street full of independent retailers, cosy coffee shops and quality restaurants. Well behaved dogs are very welcome (owners please keep dogs on a lead) Friday 23 November, 3-9pm Saturday 24 November, 10am-8pm Sunday 25 November, 10am-4pm CHRISTMAS MARKET - RAIL SHUTTLE PARK AND RIDE Between Rolvenden and Tenterden There will be a train shuttle service from Rolvenden Station to Tenterden Town Station (about 10 minutes) on Saturday and Sunday of the Christmas Market. Car parking is at Rother Valley Timber Yard TN17 4QZ which is adjacent to Rolvenden Station, 100 metres west of Rolvenden Station. Rolvenden Station is located immediately by the A28 between Rolvenden & Tenterden. Please note Rolvenden Station is not located in Rolvenden village. Kent & East Sussex Railway are offering the parking & shuttle service free of charge in support of the community but they would be delighted to receive donations towards the cost of providing the service (donation buckets will be available). From Tenterden Town Station, Tenterden is a short walk up Station Road to the High Street where the Christmas Market will be in full swing!
