Rail depot go-ahead follows deal (BBC News)

A deal is struck for a new rail depot in Wrexham ahead of a planned direct train service to London.

More from BBC News...

Yes indeed, though it all seems very eleventh-hour. I haven't seen the guy for a couple of months, but hopefully when I do he'll have got a start date.

It does seem to be an act of faith for traincrew who join these 'new starter' companies. I did have an application in with Victa Westlink, but they folded before I went for interview (fortunately). Pity, because they seemed like good people to work for.

From what I can gather the "new rail depot" in Wrexham is likely to be some disused station buildings leased from Arriva Trains Wales and use of the old bay platform for overnight storage/servicing of the train.
